HUA welcomes Global Fragility and Violence Reduction Act House passage

Humanity United Action welcomes Wednesday’s overwhelming passage of H.R. 5273, the Global Fragility and Violence Reduction Act, by the House of Representatives. This bill takes an important step towards transforming how the United States tackles conflict and violence around the world. H.R. 5273 establishes a governmental interagency initiative focused on addressing root causes of violence. It is critical the United States begins to focus more on developing preventative strategies that keep violent conflict from occurring in the first place.
